Born in Illinois on Oct. 25, 1893, the son of artist Henry Engelhardt. The younger Engelhardt was a resident of Hollywood, CA by the early 1920s. He maintained a residence at 6231 DeLongpre and the Engel Art Shop at 6707 Hollywood Blvd. He died in Los Angeles on Jan. 4, 1956.
