EDWARD EMILE CHIAPELLA (1889-1951) Born in New Orleans, LA. Chiapella appears to have settled in Los Angeles, CA in the 1920s. He studied at the Otis Art Institute as well as with Puthuff, Lauritz, Payne, and Warshawsky. Some art books list him as Edouard. MEMBER: California Art Club; California Painters & Sculptors of LA (Pres., 1941-42); Laguna Beach AA. EXHIBITED: GGIE, 1940; Santa Paula AA, 1944 (prize); LACMA, 1945.
